Europol announce suspect arrested after 10 Million euro IOTA theft

UK’s South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU), in a joint operation with the Hessen State Police in Germany, the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) and Europol, has arrested a 36 year-old individual on suspicion of fraud, theft and money laundering.

Alexander Jukov-Nastra extradition from Bulgaria confirmed by Russian Embassy in USA

Following his arrest on 6th of November 2018 from Bulgarian authorities in Varna, Alexander Jukov, known as Nastra was extradited to USA. The Russian embassy, in a statement on its VK social network, said Alexander Zhukov had been extradited on January 18 and was being held in a jail in Brooklyn, New York. “Employees of the Consulate General in New York will visit him in jail soon,” the embassy said.

US authorities charged group of Ukrainian hackers who made millions from inside information

The scheme allegedly netted $4.1 million for fraudsters from the U.S., Russia and Ukraine. Using 157 corporate earnings announcements, the group was able to execute trades on material nonpublic information. Most of those filings were “test filings,” which corporations upload to the SEC’s website.

Martin Gottesfeld was sentenced on Thursday to more than 10 years in prison…and kept his head high in court

Martin Gottesfeld said he has no regrets for the cyber-attacks he orchestrated on Boston Children’s Hospital and a treatment home in 2014, which cost the facilities tens of thousands of dollars and disrupted operations for days.
