Virtual pilots fly drones in Star-Wars-style race

Stomach-dropping speed and stunts are the norm in first-person drone racing. For pilots, it can lead to a kind of out-of-body experience. As the drones zip through race courses or stunt runs, they sometimes come upon their pilots, watching themselves drive the instrument of observation. Many pilots report being startled by their physical selves as they fly around immersed in the drone’s eye view. Full story in Newscientist.

Latest IT advices from Edward Snowden

In the latest TV appearance Edward Snowden advised web users to “get rid” of Dropbox and social networks such as Facebook and Google, too.

Such services only insist on encrypting user data during transfer and when being stored on the servers. Other services he recommends instead, such as SpiderOak(Please check our previous posts where we already posted an article for SpiderOak in Shanomag.com earlier this month), encrypt information while it’s on your computer as well.

Chancha Via Circuito – Jardines ft. Lido Pimienta

Stream the full album here

Chancha Via Circuito’s sophmore album “Amansara” is out now!

Originally coming out of Buenos Aires’s famed digital cumbia scene, Chancha has notoriously broken way outside those boundaries to forge unprecedented mergers between Brazilian rhythms, Paraguayan harp, Andean mysticism and the solitude of Argentinian folklore – all processed through his own futuristic style of post-dubstep. Chancha’s sound is without question truly unique and instantly recognizable to the point he has become a key reference point for an entire crop of artists that have begun to carry his genes.

One of the options we have is SpiderOak and their Zero-Knowledge’ Privacy Promise. SpiderOak creates an easy way to sync data between your phones, laptops, and tablets. You can drag and drop files/folders into your SpiderOak Hive folder, or – for greater control – select specific folders to sync across all your devices.

In technical terms, ‘Zero-Knowledge’ means that the server has ‘zero-knowledge’ of your data. In non-technical terms it means that your data is 100% private and only readable to you. No plain text data is stored on our servers, ensuring absolute confidentiality between you and your data.

It work on all systems – Windows, Linux and Mac OS. 2 GB free for life. Enjoy.

MIT Technology

Created by Daniel Leithinger and Sean Follmer and overseen by Professor Hiroshi Ishii, the technology behind the inFORM isn’t that hard to understand. It’s basically a fancy Pinscreen, one of those executive desk toys that allows you to create a rough 3-D model of an object by pressing it into a bed of flattened pins. With inFORM, each of those “pins” is connected to a motor controlled by a nearby laptop, which can not only move the pins to render digital content physically, but can also register real-life objects interacting with its surface thanks to the sensors of a hacked Microsoft Kinect.a
