With the rising of risks and political support for World War III we just found interesting Google map based online experiment called NUKEMAP. There you can choose a city around the globe and start preparing the details about the Nuclear bomb you will throw on this location. After detonation you will receive rich data details about the casualties, injured, radioactive levels.

The original NUKEMAP and NUKEMAP2 are both Google Maps “mashups.” This means that they use publicly-available code to modify the way that Google Maps data is displayed (this is the “Google Maps API”) along with a custom-built Javascript model to show various nuclear weapons effects. In simpler terms, this means that the NUKEMAP is code that can work with Google Maps technology to show you what happens when a bomb goes off. NUKEMAP2 is essentially the same thing as the original NUKEMAP except the nuclear effects information is based on much more sophisticated coding and models.

On the picture in the beginning of the article we just have Bombed Barcelona with 800t “Topol-SS25” which is currently in Russian arsenal over . Detonation brought the following results:

Maximum size of the nuclear fireball; relevance to lived effects depends on height of detonation. If it touches the ground, the amount of radioactive fallout is significantly increased. Minimum burst height for negligible fallout: 0.8 km.

Air blast radius (5 psi): 7.42 km (173 km²)

At 5 psi overpressure, most residential buildings collapse, injuries are universal, fatalities are widespread. Optimal height of burst to maximize this effect is 3.03 km.

Thermal radiation radius (3rd degree burns): 11 km (381 km²)

Third degree burns extend throughout the layers of skin, and are often painless because they destroy the pain nerves. They can cause severe scarring or disablement, and can require amputation. 100% probability for 3rd degree burns at this yield is 11.2 cal/cm2.

Looks like we will not survive this detonation, so we can say only – Fuck the war , Fuck all politicians pushing the countries to go into wars and finally but not less important …. Fuck World War 3
