Urbanista #1 Abandoned part of Corbera de Ebro-77 years after the “Battle of Ebro”

Corbera-de-Ebro-26We visited Port Vell and Corbera de Ebro last weekend. It is exactly 77 years after the battle for Ebro-The bloodiest battle during 2 years long civil war. This town was completely destroyed during  25 July–16 November 1938 and although the lower part of the town was rebuilt, the upper part, known as Poble Vell (Old Town), including the old church on the hill, has been kept as a reminder.

Barcelona World Race-Open 60 2014-2015

The Barcelona World Race is the first and only double-handed (two crew per boat), non-stop, round the world regatta. It is a lap of the globe starting and finishing in Barcelona (Spain). External assistance is permitted, although there are strict penalty regulations. This is an extreme sporting challenge and ocean adventure that puts human limits to the test.

Photographer Dan Eckstein traveled over 10,000km across India’s byzantine and burgeoning road network documenting these elaborately decorated trucks festooned with lights, brightly colored text, paintings of Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian deities, pop cultural fixtures and geometric patterns–symbols representing a blinding mashup of new and old India.

Weekend in Catalunya-The Shelter of Josep Pujiula i Vila

_MG_9647Last weekend we went on a trip in Catalan North. In  Argelaguer we found an amazing place hidden in the outskirts of the village. The forest construction project has been started by Josep Pujiula i Vila – 40 years ago and after he began to add to it more locations and installations.

The festival of San Fermín in the city of Pamplona (Navarre, Spain) is a deeply rooted celebration held annually from 12:00, 6 July, when the opening of the party is marked by setting off the pyrotechnic chupinazo, to midnight 14 July, with the singing of the Pobre de Mí.
