In response to recent events, british chief parasite David Cameron has suggested a ban on encryption. The target is the type of encryption which doesn’t already contain convenient built-in backdoors for governments to use. Whether or not this comes to be or can even be enforced, it shows clearly how government thinks about secrecy.

Knowledge is power. Secrecy is withheld knowledge. Secrecy, by definition, leads to monopolisation of power. It should come to no surprise, that governments – monopolies of power – are engaging in secrecy most actively.
