Short Movie 1-Flesh Computer

FLESH COMPUTER, a short film from writer/director Ethan Shaftel, explores the nature of consciousness by jumping between the perspectives of an eclectic group of characters including a young girl, a vicious bully, and a tiny housefly. Noted philosopher David Chalmers appears in the film and raises some fundamental questions of consciousness in counterpoint to the action. Also starring Rob Kerkovich (NCIS: New Orleans), Anthony Guerino, and introducing Elle Gabriel.

Weekend in Catalunya-The Shelter of Josep Pujiula i Vila

_MG_9647Last weekend we went on a trip in Catalan North. In  Argelaguer we found an amazing place hidden in the outskirts of the village. The forest construction project has been started by Josep Pujiula i Vila – 40 years ago and after he began to add to it more locations and installations.

Inspecting the area, which was built on public land, the government quickly deemed Pujiula’s homemade park a dangerous environment. Continue reading

Virtual pilots fly drones in Star-Wars-style race


Stomach-dropping speed and stunts are the norm in first-person drone racing. For pilots, it can lead to a kind of out-of-body experience. As the drones zip through race courses or stunt runs, they sometimes come upon their pilots, watching themselves drive the instrument of observation. Many pilots report being startled by their physical selves as they fly around immersed in the drone’s eye view. Full story in Newscientist.

‘The banker’ removes traces of cocaine from banknotes and collect it for you

Chemist Yuegang Zuo from the university of Massachusetts revealed that up to 90% of banknotes in the united states contain traces of cocaine — from between 0.006 micrograms to 1.24 micrograms per bill. Zuo’s research confirmed that there was an increase of 20% of the quantity coke transported on paper money compared to an earlier study in 2007.
